Today I was helping at the local mother and toddler group and as much as I love it I'm shattered lol....however I am going to go up to my craft room and make a couple of cards for a friend...one is an engagement card and the other is a 1st birthday card for a wee boy...I will definitely take photos and see if I can upload them, hhhmmm....tonight I have my medium class, which I love as much as cardmaking and that brings me onto a thought I had last week - I know, I have now recovered....anyway I would love to have my own business and was thinking what to do...so I thought well I love doing my medium stuff and my cardmaking, voila!...come to mines and whilst I make your required card I will give you a reading...brings a new meaning to having your cards done, doesn't it lol...  Okay fellow crafters I am going to move my butt and get into gear...its a beautiful day here and I hope it is with you and that you and yours are healthy and happy, Lannie xx

Where to start?

So, I want to be in business for myself, starting of teeny weeny of course but I'm kinda scared to take the initial plunge...I was in Hobbycraft yesterday and whilst being served by the girl it came up..she makes bridal tiara's etc and she was advising me to go to a business centre...however I've not even got the guts to post a pic of one of my cards let alone anything else, ho hum!!..talking of said shop I only popped in for a quick look cos its quite new, leaving my daughter in the car promising "I'll only be a minute"....flippin heck it was an expensive 'minute' however even more new goodies to play with...speaking of which, I'm away to play and get my creative juices flowing, ahem!

American Pie!

Well, my lovely in-laws got back from visiting my wee bro-in-law and his family in America and being the little keen crafter that I am, well.....I got permission 1st and then I placed an order with Joanns, a brilliant craft store, and had it delivered in time for their visit so they could bring it back for me...so I now have a new 12x12 DCWV Mainstreet Stack (12 pages have flocking - lush!)...embossing folders and tissue tape by the one and only Sir Tim.... some craft tags and last but by no means least...*heavenly music playing* 7, yes 7, Sir Tim Distress Ink pads...I'm a happy wee bunny...got them last night but not had a chance to play yet...have decided to take the plunge this year and post some of my cards for some feedback...so watch this space!

we are in red today because our new fire is going in and the glow will be lovely from it this evening...wish they would 'flaming' hurry up so I can get back to my crafting...I know, I know terrible pun!!!...made some lovely invitations using clarity stamps yesterday, once I work out how to attach things etc etc I will put some pics up...okay so speaking of that, I'm away to try and figure out how to pretty up my blog...ttfn xx

Virgin post!!!

Well, after following a number of crafty blogs I've decided to write my own, gulp! I started making cards a couple of years ago, I've always enjoyed doing some sort of craft from making clothes for the kids when they were wee to cross stitching . I had the opportunity to meet up in person with a great bunch of girls last month at the SECC, that I met through the fabulous Sugar Nellie facebook page.

We moved house a couple of months ago and I now have, I can hardly believe it never mind say it out loud, a craft room. LOVE IT!!!! Saying that, what am I doing here attached to my laptop - away to create!!
